Message from the Conference Chairman
18 May 2025Distinguished Professors, Esteemed Colleagues, Honored Guests,
It is with great pride that we welcome you to the 37th Annual International Congress on Pediatric Diseases, hosted once again by Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the oldest and most distinguished academic institution in the field of pediatrics in Iran.
This congress continues its legacy as a leading platform for the convergence of pediatric specialists, pediatric surgeons, general practitioners, radiologists, social medicine professionals, and basic science researchers from diverse fields such as genetics, biochemistry, immunology, stem cell research, and more. It also addresses emerging priorities such as population rejuvenation policies and the health of both healthy and ill children.
With the successful organization of 36 previous editions, this congress has played a crucial role in advancing pediatric healthcare and academic development across the country.
In recent years, the congress has shifted focus toward key public health achievements such as the reduction of childhood mortality, control of diarrheal and respiratory diseases, and promotion of child health and well-being.
Committed to interdisciplinary collaboration, the congress features parallel tracks for both medical and nursing professionals, ensuring an inclusive environment for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and shared expertise across sectors.
For the 16th consecutive year, the event proudly includes a dedicated platform for young researchers and medical students, held in cooperation with the Office of Gifted Students and the Student Research Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. This section has become a hub for innovation, where top student papers—both oral and poster presentations—are honored and awarded.
This year, we are especially focused on cutting-edge technologies and their practical application in pediatric medicine, with dedicated sessions exploring the roles of artificial intelligence, cellular therapies, and precision medicine in the health of fetuses, children, and adolescents.
We look forward to another enriching and forward-thinking gathering—one that builds bridges between science, practice, and the shared mission of improving the lives of children everywhere.
